Daylight steals across the meadows, And brings a smile to us all! For we're off to a special, annual event In the meadow outside our village hall!
We’ll sing and dance and have some fun. Watch The marching bands, and all the displays. Because it’s Apple Pie day for everyone! And one of our happiest days.
We’ll see every event and join in the fun. Have an apple pie to munch on the way. It's so crummy and yummy, I do have to say. What else do you want on Apple Pie day?
We'll visit all the tented stalls, Buy some flowers, some books or a bun, Join in with the songs and the music. And cavort into the setting sun.
Could there be any better event, Than the village fair we have today? Helping the upkeep of our village hall That serves the village in such a special way.
